The 3 year old Cognac from Domaine Conte et Filles is the youngest in their range of Cognacs. A light golden colour, reflecting less influence from time in barrel, and a touch higher alcohol at 43.4%, it's perfect for a Cognac based cocktail. If you're looking for Cognac to sip, we suggest the delicious 10 year old, or the exquisite Heritage.

The big Cognac houses would label this Cognac VS (or Very Special) to reflect its age (more than 2 years, but less than 4 years). The Conte sisters prefer to tell you exactly how long it spent in barrel. This is a Petit Champagne Cognac, meaning that the vines are located in one of the best terroir sub-regions of Cognac (second onyl to Grand Champagne), with distinctive chalky soils. 

Notes of dried apricot, orange zest and brioche. The Conte sisters suggest using the 3 year old as the base for a French Mule, which is the same as a Moscow Mule but with Cognac instead of Vodka. 1 part lime juice, 4 parts Cognac, 8 parts ginger ale. Top with a slice of lime. Delicious!
