Kuentz-Bas Pinot Gris "Cuvée Caroline" 2015 AOC Alsace Vendange Tardive 500mL

From marly-limestone soil with a south-east exposure, this ancient plot has, in some years, a warm, humid and well ventilated climate. These conditions allow the creation of a wonderful Cuvée of sweet wine. Vines with an average age of 50 years, certified organic and biodynamic. 

This wine is aged for 10 months on its lees in stainless steel before bottling with 110g/L of residual sugar.

Tasting note from the producer until we write our own: This wine develops complex aromas of caramel candy, ripe fruit (mango and quince) combined with honeyed notes.
On the palate, power and opulence are revealed in an intense and fresh structure. The
terroir reveals an elegant salinity, which brings an amazing length and generosity.

A wine for immediate pleasure that goes very well with chocolate desserts but also those with yellow fruits. Nevertheless, the best way to enjoy this wine is to taste it without any dishes, with some friends.
