Fattoria Tregole Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2020 750mL

This Chianti Classico Riserva is one of the "biggest" wines in our portfolio. It is 100% Sangiovese from a single vineyard of 40 year old vines and is aged in 700L Tonneaux for 24 months. It will age effortlessly. Dried herbs, distinct peppery notes, and that classic Tregole acid will have your mouth watering. But the riper black fruits (think prunes) really stand out compared to the other Tregole wines. The grapes grow just 50m lower than the other Tregole vineyards, but you really notice the impact of the extra warmth those grapes enjoy. Being a double aspect vineyard, there's a complex spectrum of ripeness in the fruit flavours. It’s a very enjoyable wine now (with 2-3 hours of air), but this will be so exciting to return to in the next 5-15 years.
