Domaine des Trois V Premier Cru Chablis "Vosgros" 2022 750mL

The Vosgros Premier Cru vineyard is a wonderful amphitheater shape facing to the south and west which provides a cool climate, protection from wind but excellent sun exposure. This mean a longer growing season than some other crus, which along with vines of 60 years of age, results in a wine of special complexity. Premier Cru Chablis doesn't often spend time in oak barrels, a treatment usually reserved for the riper Grand Cru vineyards, but Marjorie chooses, only for this wine, to age 50% of this wine in oak for 12 months, and the rest in stainless steel. It's a perfect balance, allowing the steely minerality we all love from Chablis, while balancing the wonderfully ripe Chardonnay fruit. 

Best to wait until at least 2025 to get the most from this special wine, but we won't blame you if you're too curious to try it alongside the other wines from this wonderful domain.

Classically paired with oysters or fish, but it's incredibly versatile. 

A tip on this one to sound like you know your way around Chablis crus is to pronounce the first S in Vosgros but not the second!
