Domaine des Trois V Premier Cru Chablis "Vaugiraut" 2022 750mL

Vaugiraut is a tiny sub-Climat of the larger Vosgros Premier Cru.  The Bourgogne Wine Board describes it as follow: "Although sitting on the left bank, this Climat has almost all the characteristics of the right bank. An exception not to be missed."

Covered in white stones and facing south and west - it catches a lot of sun and produces powerful, aromatic wines with persistent minerality. 

Marjorie's vines in this plot are 60 years old. She ages 50% of the wine in an amphora and 50% in stainless steel to best capture the creamier texture and riper yellow fruit flavours. She prefers to drink this after 5-10 years but it is wonderful now in its youth.

The usual Chablis pairings won't do you wrong with this wine. Oysters, fish, cheese. Delicious!
