The vines that produce fruit for the Chablis Vieilles Vignes are 40 years old (Vieilles Vignes literally means old vines). We like to think life begins at 40 and the wonderful fresh zestiness of this wine is a great example of that. Aged in stainless steel - it's a classic Chablis. Released one year earlier than the premier cru wines, we recommend drinking this early to capture its youthful character, but can be kept for up to 5 years if you prefer.

Lovely white nectarine and peach express the warmth of the ‘23 summer, and there is already a big dose of honey which is sure to become more prominent over the next few years if that’s your thing. There were some differing opinions around the tasting table as to whether there was a hint of green melon or kiwi fruit, but you get the idea. Marjorie thinks that extra layer is more a mix of green pepper, liquorice and candied lemon - who are we to argue?
