Cecilia Monte 2023 Timorasso DOC "Campogatto" 750mL

Timorasso is an indigenous Piedmont grape that nearly disappeared from the modern wine world. It's so sensitive to wet weather that Cecilia didn't get a harvest in the famously wet 2024 vintage. That makes this 2023 the last of this special wine that we'll have for a while and it is another triumph.

It will grab your attention from the moment you bring the glass to your mouth.

If you enjoy riesling, Chablis or Etna Bianco, you will love Timorasso. It can age very well, developing honey and nut flavours while maintaining its racy acidity, but it's also enjoyable in its youth. It has a lightly golden colour (the 2022 was a deeper gold) and bright citrus flavours. On the palate there is already some honey, and the fruit flavours tend more toward white fleshy fruits like nectarine and peach than the yellow of the previous vintage. Take a bottle to your wine-loving friends, it is sure to impress.
