Azienda Agricola Cagliero Barolo DOCG "Ravera" 2019 750mL

Barolo from the Ravera cru, due south of the Barolo township. 

Tasted in 2024, it needed 3 hours of air to hit its expressive best. Classic Barolo structure of high but balanced tannin, acid & alcohol. Bursting with blackberry & crisp red cherry, with a hint of cedar from large Slavonian oak barrels.

It has a chewy, savoury character, occasionally morphing into a full blown Sunday roast in a glass with roast lamb, rosemary and mint flavours. That's all you need to know when thinking about what to pair with it.
