Champagne Godin et Filles Fût de Chêne 2018 750mL

This is a wonderful blanc de blanc Vintage Champagne from 100% Chardonnay grapes. It sees French oak for 6 months, and 3 years in the cellar prior to disgorgment, followed by another 3 years in bottle. Low dosage of 5g/L makes this an Extra Brut Champagne. 

It has extraordinary body and wonderful patisserie flavours mixed with elderflower, honey and green apple. It pairs well with hard cheeses, creamy sauces, fish and poultry.

Only 500 bottles are made each year, making it one of the rarest champagnes available on the Australian market. The 2018 shifts the ripeness levels up a notch from the 2017, so expect less green fruit and more stone fruit.
