Stop here on the Alsace Wine Route
Discover Alsace’s storybook villages, sip crisp Riesling, discover other typical varieties of the region (including their increasingly excellent Pinot Noirs), and meet women shaping this unique wine region.
Riesling is the star here, but you can discover so much more while on the ground.

Alsace
Sohler Les Vigneronnes, Nothalten
Nothalten is one of dozens of gorgeous towns dotted along the Vosges mountains in Alsace. If you ignore our advice about avoiding the hotter periods from mid July to late August, Marine offers a very special dining experience among her family vines. There is also a picnic experience in late May, and if you book in advance, can taste with Marine year round.
If you're curious about the operations of a biodynamic producer you shouldn't miss this (and you'll get to taste her full range of whites in addition to the wonderful Pinot Noir that we import).

Alsace
Kuentz-Bas, Ammerschwihr
The vines of Kuentz-Bas are around the magical village Husseren-les-Chateaux. But the tasting experience is at the winery shared with Jean-Baptiste Adam in Ammerschwihr and it is absolutely worth a visit.
They have one of the best cellar door operations of any of our producers, with an extensive list to taste (and you can also try the Adam range while you are there). If you're lucky, you'll get a peak at the centuries old cellar and the giant old barrels they use to age their wines (see photo).
