High altitude, ancient granite soils and bush vines create a complex and mineral wine that goes up against the best of global Grenache. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis wine is from the older of 'Esole's two Cannonau vineyards at 70 years of age, planted at 650m in altitude. It is farmed organically and uses natural yeast. It spends 10 months in 20hL french oak barrels (the first use of the barrel), with just over 4000 bottles made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e30% whole bunches in this vintage, an explosion of red fruit, and tannins that set this wine up to age for decades. If you're opening it young (before 2033), make sure you give it plenty of air.
